Your gear takes a beating. Between the humidity, the salt air, and just the sheer amount of use, things wear out.&#xA;Here’s the reality: heating elements don&amp;rsquo;t last forever. If you put a unit up today, it’s going to need some love eventually. That’s why we didn&amp;rsquo;t build these heaters like a sealed black box. We went with a modular design.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Swapping parts shouldn&amp;rsquo;t be a nightmare&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Most patio heaters are built so that the heating element is baked right into the chassis. When a tube pops, you&amp;rsquo;re stuck throwing the whole expensive unit in the trash.&#xA;We did things differently. We decoupled the heating module from the power housing. When a tube finally gives up—usually after a few brutal winters—you don&amp;rsquo;t have to mess with the wiring or tear the fixture apart. You just unscrew the module, pull out the old tube, and slide in a fresh one. It&amp;rsquo;s that simple.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The struggle with waterproofing&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Making something waterproof usually means sealing it shut. But a totally sealed unit is basically a disposable unit.&#xA;To get around that, we used gasket-sealed access panels. You still get that IP-rated protection to keep the rain and grit out, but you can actually get inside the machine when you need to. You get the best of both worlds.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The 5-year mark&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Expect to do some real maintenance around year five. By then, the reflectors might look a bit dull or the filaments might be fading.&#xA;But because of the modular setup, your downtime is measured in minutes. You don&amp;rsquo;t have to drag the heater down from the ceiling to a workbench. You just swap the parts right where they hang.&#xA;One quick tip: if you decide to go with a higher-wattage replacement tube to get more heat, just double-check your circuit breakers. You don&amp;rsquo;t want to be the person who trips the power right in the middle of a packed Saturday night.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
