Instead, the crack just follows the line. Simple.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Gear (and the Gotchas)&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Usually, we use quartz halogen tubes for this. They&amp;rsquo;re powerful enough to get the glass hot in a few seconds while it&amp;rsquo;s gliding down the conveyor.&#xA;But you have to be smart about your wattage. If you speed up your belt, you need more power to keep the glass warm. It&amp;rsquo;s a balancing act.&#xA;One heads-up, though: these lamps put out a &lt;em&gt;lot&lt;/em&gt; of heat. Like, a lot. If your housings aren&amp;rsquo;t vented right or your fans are too weak, you&amp;rsquo;re going to melt your wiring or warp your machine frame. You can&amp;rsquo;t just crank the heat without making sure your cooling can keep up.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Payoff&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The best part? You can often stop grinding the edges by hand.&#xA;The finish is just consistent. It makes the whole day feel smoother. We just wire the lamps into the PLC so they sync up with the cutting head.
