What matters under the hood We run short-wave quartz infrared emitters in a modular array, so the heat lands where you need it and stays put. The layout keeps the thermal field even across the test zone. Power is matched to industrial demand—typically 12–36 kW per module, 400 V three-phase—so recovery after a door opening is fast. Ramp to setpoint happens in minutes, not tens of minutes. Control is PID with tight setpoint stability, and it handles emissivity differences between coated and uncoated glass without making you chase the curve. Why this plays in glass processing In tempering, bending, lamination (EVA/SGP/PVB), and IG seal lines, strength testing is the gatekeeper. You need heat that hits the required temperature quickly, holds it steady, and repeats that cycle hour after hour. This heater delivers that discipline, which keeps throughput consistent and failure analysis honest. Energy is the other lever. The quartz emitters heat on demand and cut standby losses. The modular design lets you scale power to the test profile instead of oversizing the whole system. In practice, that means lower kWh per test batch and fewer demand charges. The practical details These units are built for high-duty cycles, but they still need airflow and clearance. Plan adequate ventilation and keep the emitters clean—even a thin layer of dust changes output and drifts the setpoint. If you’re replacing an OEM module, confirm the mounting footprint and lead routing. Our units are designed as drop-in replacements, but field alignment is part of the install.
