Heating a bathroom isn’t as simple as just cranking up the thermostat. You’re dealing with steam, splashes, and that annoying dampness that seems to cling to every corner. That’s why we built our infrared heaters with an IP65 rating—basically, they’re designed to take a hit from direct moisture without quitting on you.
Dry Walls, No Mold
Most heaters just warm up the air, which is fine, but it doesn’t really solve the moisture problem. We do things differently. Our lamps use shortwave radiation to hit the walls and ceilings directly. Think of it as a quick blast of heat that forces water to evaporate off the surfaces almost instantly. Since mold needs a damp, still place to settle in, we just take away its home.**No dampness, no mold.**It’s that simple.
Built for the Splash Zone
Water is the fastest way to kill a heater. To stop that from happening, we wrapped these units in IP65 enclosures. They keep out the dust and handle water jets without breaking a sweat. Inside, the quartz elements are sealed tight against the humidity. Now, a word of advice: these things pack a lot of heat into a small space. Because the quartz tube gets seriously hot, you can’t just put them in any old housing. If you use cheap plastic, it’ll warp or melt.**Stick with die-cast aluminum or high-temp ceramics.**Your future self will thank you.
Setup and Keeping it Running
We used standard connectors because nobody wants to spend all day wrestling with wires. They’re designed to be drop-in replacements. If you want to make your life even easier, hook them up to a timer or a humidity sensor. Let the system handle the drying cycle while you’re out of the room. One thing to keep in mind: shortwave lamps give you that “instant warmth” feeling, but that puts more stress on the filament than the slower, longwave versions. They have a set lifespan, so just keep an eye on your usage. Also, give your seals a quick check every year. Bathroom cleaners can be pretty harsh, and you’ll want to make sure that IP65 protection is still doing its job.
