Dealing with Wear and Tear
Here is the reality: infrared lamps degrade. Even the fancy high-grade quartz tubes lose their punch over time. With a modular setup, you don’t have to panic and replace every single tube in the warehouse at once. You can just swap them out in stages as they start to dip below the temperature you need. It’s much easier on the budget.
A Few Tips for the Shop Floor
When you’re wiring these up, stick with heat-resistant cabling that matches your module’s wattage. If you’re running high-density shortwave tubes, things get hot—really hot—around the connectors. Keep those connections tight and make sure your ventilation is clear. It keeps the terminals from oxidizing and ensures the module slides back in and locks tight.
